Back in Blighty
Got in at 6am. It's now 1.20 and my body thinks it's 5.40 a.m. and is confused why it's not asleep, although I'm impressed that it's not complaining too much. Maybe the full English sorted me out! Had to maintain the image that all the Canadians have of us brits..."hey you guys eat blood pudding...that's disgusting!". Yes, I had some in my fry up. Ahhh, I've missed low quality sliced white too. Atkins can take a running jump!
Driving myself to the airport this morning I saw a cop get run over. Dumb ass pig was standing in the middle of the road with no fluorescent clothing trying to catch people with his radar gun. I heard the warning on the traffic news and slowed down but some tool in a beamer sped past me and clipped him. I saw the beamer swerve and the cop dived out of the way into the path of the car in front of me. He stopped ok and the cop just stood there for a while, maybe in shock or maybe trying to ID the car cos the guy just took off! He then jumped in his cruiser and started chasing the cop killer! Thank god for traffic news or that could have been me!

No problemo
Passed my driving test with a few minor faults and a slight ticking off about turning my wheels when preparing for left turns and for undertaking a line of cars (undertaking is allowed but not when I did it). I did a crap parallel park as my PT cruiser has no visibility. I hit the curb which would have been an instant fail in the UK but over here they still let me drive. Hooray for slack Canadian standards!
Now for a night of drinking as we have a full house at last as the final house mate has turned up. He was at the burning man festival in the Nevada desert. Apparantly the festival makes the third biggest city in Nevada for the week (black rock city), so you can see how populated Nevada is.
Driving myself to the airport at 6am so I will see some of you soon and others I will call. There`ll be no update tomorrow as I`ll be in the air all day.

Full house
So we finally have a full house as the last housemate turned up last night. He had a fairly arduous trip in that he flew to Seattle to pick up his car but then couldn't find it. It took him 7 hrs to find it and then he lost his mobile phone. He then had to drive 4 hrs from Seattle to Vancouver. He showed up around 11pm but he was still in good spirits and we're looking forward to a happy household. Shame I'm leaving tomorrow in a way...
4 hrs till T time (driving test).

Cruising
Not a lot happening as I'm spending my days in Internet cafes, playing cards and playing basketball. Today I've rented a car and I really like it. It's a Chrysler PT cruiser. I need it for my driving test tomorrow but I also thought it would be useful for doing a few chores and then driving myself to the airport on Thurs. The driving in this city is terrible, partly because driving laws here are fucked up but mainly because people are shit drivers. I know I can drive fairly well and I'm fairly confident I should pass my test but who knows what circumstances out of my control may happen and cock up my test. If I fail they apparantly confiscate my British licence until I pass which could be awkward as I'm heading back to the UK the next day. I can see an argument happening!
I finished this book yesterday. I enjoyed it but it was an odd book with it's alternating between chapters on football hooliganism and chapters/vignettes on totally unrelated thoughts and characters.
Anyway, off to Costco in a bit to try and claim my $20 back for my double scanned chicken breasts...
