New Day, new dawn, new job, new phone, new camera, new country
Started at Morrison's today. They're sending me to bloody Scotland for virtually six months! The job doesn't look too bad and I've got my phone and shoddy digi cam but not the car or laptop yet. Tomorrow (weds) I'm off to Greenock Scotland if we can get a pool car (they'd run out) and are staying overnight as it's a good 4-5 hrs away. I've got a couple more trips to Scotland over the next 2 weeks with my "mentor" and then I'm pretty much on my own from late Jan. My schedule right now has me all over Scotland for most of the first half of the year and then I'm down in the very S.W and S.E. Have got a couple of Midlands and Yorkshire around July and a few in London in October/November but I'm mainly a long long way from home. Anyway, we'll see how it goes, at least when you're on the road you're not in an office listening to gob shites.
This transient nature of job and half way houseness of car use (i'm supposed to get a car but not use it for personal use) is making it difficult to commit to either buying a house or car. Ideally I'd do both but when it's not essential it's very tempting to just try and fudge it for a while until I know how I'm coping. I'd like to hit the property market now while it's quiet but I'm thinking it might be sensible to rent for six months and I think I've found a very nice place in the leafy suburbs of far Headingley.
We shall see...back from Scotland on thurs!
ps - i know it's poor form to change tense (or whatever it's called ) mid sentence but it seemed appropriate. Non pedants, don't concern yerself.

Footballers really do have too much cash! Sir Les has been commuting to Bolton from London by bloody helicopter for 6 months!
Full Sunday Mode
This terrifying picture of me in full sunday mode, afro 'n' all is to test this new photo gubbins.
Only one more day of freedom until I have to work for a living again! It's not been all fun and games being unemployed but I'm well used to not having to deal with office politics and the daily commute.
